Life is made up of five basic elements: water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. Knowledge of the five elements allows us to understand the laws of nature and to attain greater health, power, knowledge, wisdom and happiness. This arises out of deep intuition of how the universe operates.
Through consciously working with the elements, we learn how to attain and maintain health and also how to consciously enjoy a long and fulfilling life based on higher awareness. Unlocking one's subconsciousness and developing profound peace and stillness within are all conditions of experiencing one's consciousness and developing the soul. The Five Elements are stages of transformation: Water (birth), Wood (growth), Fire (ripening), Earth (harvest), and Metal (decay). They are different aspects of nature. There are numerous parallels to each element including a corresponding season, climate, emotion, sound, smell, archetype, and even an organ. Spiritual healing is our interconnection to all that is. The five elements are resources we can call upon when we need help to embrace what is, strength to go on, power to change and set clear boundaries, an ability to let go and surrender control. The possibilities are endless.
The Elements
Stress causes anxiety and impacts our health, our relationships and our quality of life. Placing our hands on our heart, closing our eyes and listening to the voice within, we can draw our attention to our breath while visualizing loving light in our heart center and releasing any thoughts to give space to the heart’s frequency. Love is the best remedy for healing and clarity of mind. A harmonious relationship to all the five elements liberates our thought process to rekindle the mind body connection.
